Home Care Standards Bureau A+ Rating
The HCSB evaluates home health care providers based on twelve key standards to attain their A+ rating.
Some of those standards include:
- The agency must agree to rigorous scheduled and unannounced on-site audits.
- A minimum of 90% of employees must be W2 employees of the agency.
- All caregivers employed by the agency must have passed a multi-tiered background check, including, but not limited to, a 50 state multi-jurisdictional, criminal, sex offender registry and the current state driving record.

Re-admission rates to the hospital can be one of the most telling statistics in determining how well a home healthcare provider is offering the standard of care you expect for your patients.
Re-admission rates can cost you money. Medicare and Medicaid can penalize a hospital or clinic if the patient is readmitted within 30 days of discharge.
